While the average yearly temperature in the following 10 cities is reasonably close, the warmest town (Wheatland) is more than 11 degrees warmer than the coldest (Pinedale).

Climate of Wyoming
The climate of Wyoming is impacted by its interior location on the North American mainland as well as its high mean elevation.

Wheatland has by far the greatest average high temperature (65 °F), resulting in the hottest days of any city in this ranking.
Wyoming’s warmest town has the mildest winters, with average temperatures of 43-45 °F during the day and 16-17 °F at night.
In the summer, average daily temperatures range from 83 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Its high temperature is 32-39 °F, with lows of 9-15 °F.
The reason Basin remains second is that it has extremely hot daytime temperatures during the hottest months of the year.
They range from 84-93 °F during the day to 55-60 °F at night.
Based on weather records, Basin has the highest recorded temperature in Wyoming (115 °F on August 8, 1983).
Between April and July, it also has the highest reported temperature.
Thermopolis (48.95°F)
The town of Thermopolis is the third warmest city in Wyoming.
Thermopolis is a small town located 61 kilometers south of Basin.

From May to September is the best time to visit Thermopolis, Wyoming.
Thermopolis, like the rest of Wyoming, has cold winters, but it is more than hospitable to travelers from spring to fall.
